Fruit Bowl Still Life
Students looked at artist Paul Cezanne to be inspired to draw their own fruit still life. Students then were given a bowl of fruit to look at and draw from. We also learned about different types of lines and they were incorporated into the background of their still life. The last step was to add color to the fruit and bowl with water color paint.
About Me Puzzle Piece
Students traced a puzzle piece. On their puzzle piece students were asked to draw 10 things about themselves. Throughout the year at the beginning of each quarter 7th grade students will be adding to this puzzle piece installation that is located outside the art room.
An art project's due date will occur when most students are either finished or close to finishing. Approximately 5 classes per project but may change due to difficulty of art project. Students will have one week outside of class to pass in an art project after it's due date. After one week of the due date if not passed in students will loose points on their art project. Reflections are including in their grade and must be completed on time to get credit. Reflections can either be hand written or preferably in submitted in Google Classroom. If a student is not satisfied with their grade they take their artwork back and revise and add to it to improve their grade.
